Episode 202
Episode #197 - The Tears Have Not Stopped Flowing
For over 197 episodes, our podcast covered a wide range of topics that have involved monologues and guests. Providing a wide range of different perspectives, advice, and opportunities to gain personal, professional, and business-related topics, so much has been gained. There is, however, the individual component to all of this that allows for the ultimate growth in all of these realms to combine. In today’s final monologue episode before Episode #200, the hidden door that is the potential we all seek is discussed, and how this applies to all these realms that we have covered since the very beginning.

Transcript
Welcome to the podcast where relationships, confidence, and
2
:determination all converge into
an amazing, heartfelt experience.
3
:This is Speaking From The Heart.
4
:Joshua: Welcome back to episode
number 197 of Speaking From The Heart.
5
:This is going to be the final monologue
episode before episode 200, and I'm super
6
:excited to be on this journey with you
after all this time, continuing full
7
:steam ahead, as it relates to not only
our personal and professional development,
8
:but also our businesses as well.
9
:So much has changed since episode
number one since we started this podcast
10
:almost two years ago now, but here we
are, at the precipice of crossing yet
11
:another threshold, and we're really
figuring out what it means to keep on
12
:working on ourselves, to have different
perspectives, receive advice, doing
13
:things differently than we might have
otherwise would have done the same
14
:way if it wasn't for this podcast.
15
:We've covered so many different types
of topics not only individually, but
16
:also of our guests that we've had thus
far, and although we'll have two more
17
:interview episodes before we reach
that , milestone that hidden door, that
18
:potential that we can walk through, is
what we want to cross off our bucket
19
:list as our final monologue topic on
today's episode, and why this hidden
20
:door, quote unquote, is what we need to
discover not only about what it means for
21
:us, but how it applies to everyone else.
22
:Before I even do that, I have to
say that this journey has been
23
:monumental in so many different ways.
24
:The things that we are working on, the
things that we're challenging as our
25
:status quo, the ways in which we believe
in ourselves; we challenge not only the
26
:things that are around us, but also what
we believe in, what we say, what we do.
27
:All the actions, all the different
things, have funneled always from
28
:the three principles, or the three
values, of my business: relationships,
29
:confidence, and determination.
30
:Now, if you are a newcomer to this
podcast, and if you had never listened
31
:to any of my earlier episodes, I highly
encourage you to check out the very first
32
:few monologue episodes that I featured
e way back in May and June of:
33
:During those times, I laid out
quite clearly what the purpose
34
:of these values are, and how it
relates to so many different types
35
:of things that we do in our lives.
36
:The meaning of those values still hasn't
changed to this day, and I love that
37
:the consistency and the direction that
I have continuously pushed this podcast
38
:towards is about not only those three
values, but about using our voice in
39
:this ever changing world, that we have
this authenticity to unlock inside
40
:ourselves, and be able to share it
with so many different types of people.
41
:The components, the things that
we're trying to develop inside
42
:of ourselves means that we have
to keep on working what is within
43
:ourselves that needs to be unlocked?
44
:We have to figure out what it is, is
that potential that we want to achieve.
45
:We have goals.
46
:We have things that we want to see in
our lives, and so many people in this
47
:show have shared a variety of different
perspectives, whether it's from their
48
:own businesses, dealing with finance,
marketing, or some other go between job.
49
:Even the people that have been my
friends, my family, even influencers
50
:on social media have been on this show.
51
:People that have been on NBC, CBS, all
the different networks that have been
52
:able to feature our guests as well,
have come such a long way in their own
53
:journeys, and those journeys, even in
one snapshot of time when I recorded
54
:them, showcased what it means to walk
through that hidden door, but I would
55
:be remiss if I didn't tell you how many
times that the tears that I've shed
56
:on this show have not stopped flowing.
57
:Now, I'm not saying that I've been upset.
58
:I'm not saying that I've been happy.
59
:I'm not saying that there's anything
even in between that, but this figure
60
:of expression, that the tears have
not stopped flowing, means that I
61
:have been using all the energy, all
my persistence, to continue using
62
:this podcast platform as an avenue
to not only share who I am, but also
63
:share what other people are all about.
64
:This episode means so much to
me in so many different ways.
65
:Not only does it show where I
have been, which going all the way
66
:back to episode one and listening
to my voice, I definitely have
67
:conquered imposter syndrome.
68
:I have addressed things that other people
might have never dreamed about achieving
69
:if it wasn't for the fact that I was
looking at all the people's stories that
70
:we've been looking at even as part of
this experience, and taking notes as
71
:we've gone along the people that have
addressed so many different types of
72
:problems, whether it's through domestic
violence, sexual abuse, neglect, childhood
73
:trauma, dealing with bad relationships,
dealing with drugs, dealing with
74
:alcohol, dealing with all the things that
oftentimes throw us off course, including
75
:even organizations, like Katherine
Spallino talking about her experiences
76
:leaving the Church of Scientology.
77
:People that have engaged with different
relationships, having multiple partners,
78
:talking about how energy manifests
into different ghostly apparitions,
79
:dealing with how we have this passion,
this drive to be better, but to also
80
:serve others, to help each other,
see the depths of our knowledge, be
81
:able to be educated, informed, being
persuasive in so many different avenues,
82
:and even learning about our own human
connection, our human embodiment, whether
83
:that is through joy, whether that is
through work, whether that is through
84
:something else that is our passion.
85
:All these themes, all these different
subject matters, have been the
86
:heart of what these episodes, this
podcast, has accumulated into.
87
:To say that I would have ever thought
in a million years, let alone in the
88
:two years since I've started this
podcast, that we would get to this
89
:point is nothing short of what I
think has been a memorable experience.
90
:Dealing with these types of hidden
doors in our life, though, means that
91
:we have to be aware of these types of
subjects, learning about what other
92
:people's conditions are, and how they
navigate through all the different
93
:types of things that they got going
on in their lives, and ladies and
94
:gentlemen, let me tell you, it is not
easy, in some respects over others, to
95
:be able to do something quite like that.
96
:Walking through that door of passion,
of joy, is hidden, which is why
97
:those hidden doors, even those things
that are perspectives and advice are
98
:gifted to those that are deserving
and worthy of receiving that kind
99
:of information, and truth be told.
100
:I was one of those people, even
in the beginning of this podcast,
101
:this whole experience, that would
have never thought I would be so
102
:deserving of such information.
103
:I think challenging our status
quo means that we also have to
104
:challenge what's inside of ourselves.
105
:We're always stuck with the same
thoughts over and over again,
106
:thinking that if we do something just
a little bit differently, if we're
107
:just willing to get that quick extra
buck, if we're just willing to screw
108
:that other person over regardless of
what they might feel, we might feel
109
:a little bit better about ourselves.
110
:We might be even pushing
ourselves into a corner.
111
:We might be pushing ourselves into
a no win situation, compromising
112
:for that matter, to achieve some of
those successes, quote unquote, but
113
:what does it really mean to be able
to walk through that hidden door of
114
:awesome opportunity, of passion, to
see what other people are able to win
115
:and what they're able to experience.
116
:If you have about 200 some hours to
spare, essentially the equivalent of
117
:several days, you can certainly figure
out what that would look like in
118
:not only these episodes in which you
will learn about the human condition,
119
:and even page back through all the
different components that make up our
120
:individuality, our own businesses for
that matter, but how we can even navigate
121
:through these challenges means that
we have to have this lived experience,
122
:and that experience sometimes is not
very easy for us to follow along with.
123
:It means that we have to work on
ourselves even harder than maybe we
124
:normally do, and as a result of that,
that personal, professional, business,
125
:or whatever other perspective that you
need to bring, whether that's with your
126
:family, whether that's with friends,
or something else, means that you have
127
:to face the truth, and the truth that
we seek, the things that we try to do,
128
:are locked behind that hidden door.
129
:All the way back in episode 1, and
even in episode 100, I talked about
130
:what is still on our hearts; what is
it that we're still trying to achieve,
131
:and what is on our hearts usually
means that we have to figure out what
132
:it is that we want to really explore.
133
:What is it that really digs into our
depths and really excites us, the
134
:passion and the joy, and even the
feeling of euphoric opportunity, that
135
:might surround us, and I don't know if
I have yet, even after all this time,
136
:still have come to a conclusion of what
our heart looks like; what it is to
137
:be able to share what is inside of it.
138
:When we unlock that unlimited potential,
when we're able to figure out what it is
139
:to start moving forward, sometimes even
doing what we really thought we could
140
:do, means that we have to shed a tear.
141
:We have to endure some pain.
142
:We have to endure sorrow,
sometimes be in the valleys
143
:before we realize our greatness.
144
:At the time of this release, it's
been now two days since my fifth year
145
:anniversary of the day that I tried to
end my life would have became a reality.
146
:I didn't succeed, obviously.
147
:That's why I'm talking to you, even at
this time, even behind this microphone,
148
:after all these experiences, I've
learned so much about what it means to
149
:dig deep, what it means to live that
human condition, to be able to have the
150
:personal, professional, business success
in my own individual way, but I know that
151
:that's not enough, and I know that I need
to dig even deeper if I'm ever going to
152
:have that six, seven figure business, and
even do some of the things that I promised
153
:that I would do on this very show.
154
:Whether that's even practicing Reiki,
throwing a few punches at KickHouse,
155
:or even doing some of the things that
I have learned from my guest of how
156
:we process things differently, but the
problem that we all have, myself included,
157
:is that we have to keep on working.
158
:We have to keep on enduring, but
is it something that we are able to
159
:just take a little bit of a break,
and realize that we have what it
160
:takes, that we have the capability
to succeed in so many different ways?
161
:Truth be told, some of the things
that we have in the future on this
162
:show goes even deeper, goes even
broader in what we will have covered
163
:in the first 200 episodes, but I'll
save more for that in episode 200.
164
:I, think that the things that we try
to accomplish behind that hidden door
165
:the things that I keep on alluding
to means that we have to suffer, and
166
:that's something that is a sad reality.
167
:We don't have to necessarily
suffer in a bad way.
168
:We can suffer in ways in which gives
us that opportunity to push ourselves
169
:outside of our comfort zone to achieve
something that we would otherwise not
170
:be able to achieve if it wasn't for
some of the perspectives, some of the
171
:viewpoints, that we even have received
on this show, or even in our own lives.
172
:Being able to do that requires great
courage, great aspirations of what we
173
:wanted to do, of what we want to achieve,
on a wide range of different topics.
174
:That's why this show could go on
forever and ever as the landscape of the
175
:universe continues to change, even on
planet Earth for that matter, we have to
176
:realize that the tears will never stop
flowing because there is someone that
177
:will always be on this journey, that we
will always be pushing ourselves to be
178
:outside of our comfort zone, and we also
have to be that beacon of light where
179
:otherwise beacons aren't really shined,
especially on parts of the world that
180
:definitely need to have that exposure.
181
:When we look at even some of the things
that we've talked about, including the
182
:lighthouse, the most symbolic part of this
whole entire podcast, it's been about not
183
:only figuring out what it is that we're
trying to shine a light on, but also what
184
:we're trying to guide ourselves towards.
185
:Sometimes the tears that are in our
eyes are sometimes the things that
186
:might be dirt, might be grime, it
might be something else that got
187
:stuck in between, and we need to dig
it out so that we can see better,
188
:and be able to wipe those tears away.
189
:Tears can be used as a defense
mechanism though, figuring out what
190
:it is that might be hurting us; might
be causing that irritation in the
191
:first place, and I'm not saying that
even this podcast is an irritation
192
:towards what we're trying to achieve.
193
:It should be of great success.
194
:It should be of something that we are
really passionate in doing, and what
195
:we're trying to achieve, and what we're
trying to salvage, especially in our
196
:lives, especially if we're going through
something that is completely tough,
197
:and we need that level of support.
198
:I am not the same person that I even was,
experiencing the different hidden doors
199
:that I've been walking through as a result
of the guests, those doors not visible
200
:to you, but only visible to myself.
201
:For all those people out there that
have been following along on this
202
:show, realizing their true potential,
and figuring out what it means to
203
:live a best version of themselves.
204
:Today, if you haven't shed those
tears, if you haven't suffered as
205
:much as I have, it might be time to go
even deeper than maybe you once were.
206
:This podcast is about going deep.
207
:It's about exploring attitudes and
perceptions and different ways in which
208
:we've been able to achieve so much in so
little time, but yet at the same token,
209
:giving you comprehensive strategies,
opportunities to hear from experts, and
210
:to hear from my personal experiences
running Your Speaking Voice LLC to achieve
211
:what you will ultimately set out to do.
212
:If you haven't taken any action yet, and
you've just been listening to this show,
213
:learning from the different perspectives.
214
:I hope that you compile your notes
and start putting together a strategy,
215
:a plan in which is actionable.
216
:Something that you can be held accountable
for so that in a SMART goal methodology
217
:type of way, you're able to achieve
greatness, and of course, if you need
218
:that help, you need that support, you
need that push, I am here for you,
219
:because at Your Speaking Voice, LLC,
I do believe that those hidden doors,
220
:especially if they're not being shown to
us in a very healthy way, can be restored.
221
:Those doors, whether we need to
walk through them or not, is totally
222
:your choice, but what would it look
like if you were able to wipe the
223
:tears away from your face, use those
tiers to your advantage, and start
224
:leveraging the ways in which you're
able to create value for everyone else?
225
:What would it look like to have that
impact on other people, especially
226
:from your own individual self, to
continue growing, to continue expanding,
227
:to continue learning from others,
including these monologues and from
228
:guests, to change your perspective,
even from all the times that we have
229
:dug deep and shared what is truly
important on our hearts and minds.
230
:Let's be real.
231
:If it wasn't for this podcast, I wouldn't
be half the person that I am today,
232
:talking to you now, super excited about
what's ahead, even if it doesn't seem
233
:like I am excited, from the tone of my
voice, I am, because I've been wiping
234
:away the tears that have been in my own
eyes, and realizing that a bright new
235
:future awaits me and you as we continue
this journey of figuring out what is on
236
:our hearts, because what is on our hearts
is really important to not only unlocking
237
:those hidden doors, but to realize that
by combining all these different realms
238
:of knowledge together, we are unstoppable.
239
:We are more powerful, and we are
more conscious of our impacts
240
:in this ever changing world.
241
:Thanks for listening to episode
number 197 of Speaking From the
242
:Heart, and I look forward to
hearing from your heart very soon.
